The shingle bank has been badly eroded.

I haven't seen it so depleted for ages. When I first lived here in the 70s, there was a big drop from the path to the beach. The shingle is heaped up every year, but now you can see the drop and steps down again.  The extra is some of the lovely painted pebbles on show by the pavement.
