Say No to Vests!

When I was young
I was thin and shivered
Wouldn't wear a vest
Too lily-livered

No-one'd have known
Till it came to games
And changing rooms
And called out names

At the thought of a vest
I quaked and quivered
So when I was young
And thin, I shivered

Now I am oldish
And could wear a vest
I wrap pashminas
Round my chest

(A vest top's not a vest, right? Just checking!)
