The Grantchester Mysteries by James Runcie

This is my entry for 'Wide Wednesday' on the theme of a book. My main photo is of the mysterious bronze horse owned by novelist Jeffrey Archer. He lives in the Old Vicarage in Grantchester and there is a wooden bridge from his garden to the small island in Grantchester Pond where it is located. Apparently, he has had problems before with the mysterious loss of other sculptures on his land.  Please see here:

James Runcie's 'Grantchester Mysteries' have of course been turned into a successful TV series. My second photograph is of Grantchester Church which is a central location in the series of books although the vicar does seem to often neglect his parishioners in supporting the local police!

(Both photos taken with Fuji wide angle lens, 10-24mm)
