Snapshots of my world

Dirty Weather!!

It's been a dismal weather day with thick fog, drizzle and torrential rain. It may not feel much warmer but it has been enough to melt lots of the snow from the pavements making extremely deep slush!
The white snow remains over much of the gardens and fields with strange space like boulders of the stuff littering the pavements amongst the slush. It's all very dirty looking though! I got absolutely drenched on my stroll this evening and the amount of water flowing down the roads, and standing at the sides, is something else!! I was glad of my waterproof boots, trousers and coat!

My blip is a little different today because I seized the opportunity granted by a trip to a specialised autistic spectrum disorders unit in Hebden Bridge. I went to see a little girl who will be leaving to join mainstream school in my class after half term. It's a very different world but the visit was extremely useful, and insightful.

I decided I'd return to school over the tops, their main roads so I knew they'd be safe snow wise. This is Blackstone Edge reservoir at the top of Cragg Vale. Some of the water was frozen and the fog made it all rather atmospheric.
