Musical Owl

Because one of our church members gave a n ornamental owl to the organist, who sat it on the console, our pianist, now working from home, similarly has an owl in shot while playing for the Zoom services.

This has not passed unnoticed by one of our youngsters so, to continue the tradition, I placed this terra cotta owl on the mantlepiece while recording the hymns for Sunday as, hopefully, he will be taking part - I hope he notices it.

I bought it, and another, from The Mulberry Bush in Morningside and they are  special because the head is separate from the body so can be angled in any position - even upside down - to give the owl a variety of expressions. This is his 'ordinary' look as the photo with his head on the wrong way round was too disturbing.
