Life in Newburgh on Ythan

By Talpa

Another day, another God.

One final Talpa household God.This one was originally a stopper for a sacred flute and was collected in New Guinea, on the Sepik River, in the early 1900s. She has seen better days; once she was richly decorated with cassowary feathers, but now only 1 tuft remains. She came to live with us 50 years ago when we were young and fancy-free and living in the Fijis.
