A flower blooms from darkness

An attempt at the abstract Thursday challenge.  Thanks Ingeborg, it was just the stimulus needed on an otherwise dreary and very wet day.




I like the way that the shape of a flower emerges from the dark spaces in this picture. It gave a kind of optimistic note to a miserable day in grim times.  It also made me think about the way that books can help our understanding blossom, even when the person or people who wrote them have long since gone.
