No worries

“Hello, what’s this?” I wondered, getting up to answer the door.

A delivery driver, with a package. “Is this <insert address I’ve never heard of and have instantly forgotten>?” she asked.

When I replied that it wasn’t, she said, “oh, don’t worry about it.”

Muttering to myself on the way back to my desk, it struck me that “sorry to have bothered you” might have been a better insincere parting phrase.

It also struck me that I can be a right grumpy git sometimes.
