"The Downstairs Staff Bell - Number 12"

...No we don't have servants, or kitchen staff now, but this old Bell with several others, has been passed down in our family from years past.

It was in one of our original homes either in Scotland or England, and whenever we see one of our favorite TV programs "Downton Abbey" - and we see the old bells hanging in the Abbey - we think of this old bell which has been in our family, for a very long time.

Another family member did have one of them as well, but told me she accidently left it hanging in a tree near the back door on the property where they lived and when they left, it was left behind. Maybe it's still there, who knows..this was many years ago though..so I guess I'm lucky to have this one.

Originally, there must have been quite a few of them as this one has No. 12 stamped onto it. It's nice looking into the past sometimes...
