Farewell Stanley

We had a sad farewell this afternoon. One of the long-term residents of our Estate is suddenly relocating to a nursing home in Melbourne, 800kms away, where his family lives. He is 90 and has been becoming increasingly less well over the past months. The decision and arrangements have all been made in the past week while he has been in hospital. He is leaving tomorrow so all the residents and some of his other friends gathered this afternoon for a Covid style farewell. Ever the gentleman, he insisted on standing to thank everyone, but Les was right behind him in case he faltered. Farewell old friend.
