Mysterious 'Crop Circles' Discovered on Canal Ice

Your faithful correspondent was surprised to see these strange markings on the Caledonian Canal ice. He phoned the local television company but they said they had their hands full with an eagle stuck in a chimney. Was this the work of extra-terrestials? A spokes-being from the planet Zogastra, suggested it was a hoax. My extra shot shows that this was no fluke.
