Take a break...

Recently home from a week in Thailand (just back-blipped some pics), where on the beach I delved into the tome that is 'London' by Peter Ackroyd.
It's an excellent account of the city through the ages, and one part mentions the London Stone - supposedly brought by Brutus to the city, before belonging to a 10th-century king, and then placed in the centre of the city until 1742, when it was moved to Cannon Street.
I went to take a photo of it for a blip about nine months ago, but the grille was so filled with rubbish, it wasn't visible.
So it was nice to see it cleaned and lit up today, even though it's still fairly shoddy for such an historic emblem.
And not sure where the Kit-Kat advertisement behind it fits in...
