Muffin making

Nigella's Apple and Cinnamon Muffins underway. They were just perfect for such a horrid day! It was so raw, a fierce easterly gale with sleety showers.

We are part of a Covid testing survey and a chap comes and sees us every week. Today he did the Q & A bit by phone, from his car rather than standing outside in the weather! Mike and I did our swabs while he huddled in the sleet and he scurried away again till next week.

Spent most of the afternoon doing a jigsaw at the kitchen table. Lottie was feeling a bit left out and sat behind Mike and me in turn, between us and the backs of our chairs! She's a lot better than a hot water bottle! The bonus was that the smell of cinnamon was still in the air!
