Wanderings & Witterings

It was good to get a proper walk under my belt today - but, jings, it was a cold one out there!

Although the rain took a little break for a couple of hours while I was out, there was a chill wind scudding along the Canal and I am glad it was at my back as I walked from Banknock west to Kelvinhead. I returned into its teeth, but somehow it didn't feel as bad as I had expected. The numerous layers of clothing and my jacket pulled up to my chin probably helped!

At one point along the Canal I spotted these five swans, who came out from behind the reeds as they saw me - possibly expecting some food, in vain - and, then a short distance further on, these cormorants sitting on a pontoon. Blip sorted!
