Busy Bee

This tiny 5mm long solitary bee is collecting nectar and pollen from pink yarrow flowers. She doesn’t have bags for the pollen, but gathers it on her hairy back legs and parts of her body. I am amazed that such a tiny bee can fly free in the world to forage for food and find her way back to her nest, probably a hole in the ground somewhere.
