Apple tree in the Elgin valley

Staying with friends on their fruit-farm (though their most profitable and toughest crop is weddings - they have one every weekend through the South African summer). Lovely walk round the orchards. But I'm pleased they wait till we're back in their sumptuous home before they tell me of the bad-tempered puff-adder that lives just outside.
