Looking for witch marks

Last week’s Zoom lecture for the Torquay Museum Society was about witch marks. These are markings found on old buildings, usually around windows or on doors to drive off evil spirits. The speaker showed several examples from the converted stables and buildings of the old farmhouse where he lived. I will be looking for these on future outings when all is well. On my daily walk from home I visited the church. There were
no marks on any of the doors, but the door furniture was something special. Anyway- I have found another new interest.
