Toward Hoy from Binscarth

I went for a walk through Binscarth wood in the snow. The east wind seems to have carried some birds with it as there were quite a few foraging blackbirds, redwings, robins, wrens etc and the first grey wagtail I have seen there. Bare ground below the trees and especially fallen trees still partly off the ground provided somewhere for them to hunt for worms etc. From the path beyond the wood I took this shot looking west. The extra is monochrome and gives a sense of the chilliness!
