Didn't think this through

A good friend (one I have known since the age of 5) had thrown a bunch of pumpkin seeds into her garden and many of them sprouted.
She offered me a seedling, and I thought 'sure, why not?'
I have been amazed to see this tiny little bit of green turn into an incredibly fast-growing triffid.
I was about to pull it out as it was growing over and through the hedges at the front of my house when I spotted two pumpkins!
The one in the photo was actually hanging in the breeze.
