Trying out the new oven

Well it’s been just about a week since our new oven was delivered and Mr Bee is quite partial to my scones, so time to put the new oven to the test!
My fail proof recipe for scones is my mother’s and goes like this:
“A fair amount of SR Flour
A spoon of sugar - use the big spoon
A big spoon of butter be generous
Add glacé cherries or sultanas but not too many
Just keep adding milk until it mixes together
Don’t make the scones too small.....”
I can still hear her voice !
