Snow has been predicted for our area for the last few days but we had none, we seemed to be at the edge of a snow belt with snow to the north of us and in the city, but none here, although bitterly cold.

That changed last evening when the snow started, and it has snowed on and off overnight and today, very light snow but it is lying and beginning to be thicker, although nothing like other places, particularly the north east of the country.

It appears that Arktos and Victoria, the two polar bears at the wildlife centre near Kingussie in the Cairngorms, are lapping up the snow conditions, and romping in it.  And getting quite amorous, it seems, so it is being hoped that offspring might result from it.  Victoria had a polar bear cub in 2017, so it is hopeful that she might have another.

A day at home for us, and amusing ourselves in various ways.  Have been talking on the telephone quite a bit, have done a bit of baking, and am going to watch the next episode of 'Marcella' on Netflix this afternoon.  Quite complicated but am enjoying it.

Since I am indoors today I have blipped one of my tulips, which are nearing end of life, but are still rather beautiful.  I am always reluctant to bin them until the very last moment.

Stay warm, and feed the birds!
