Village Church

Out for an afternoon walk after heavy overnight and morning snow added to the blizzard on Monday. This is our village church, with a snow storm behind it.  I loved the shadow of the tree on the wall; look at it from a distance and it gives the impression of a large crack in the wall.  

It is not an optical illusion, the right hand end of the church is sinking slowly into the ground.  It was an extension build a couple of hundred years ago, but constructed on soft clay with no substructure, hence its inexorable slide into the ground!
