Caraway Seed Cake

In olden times, before March 2020, when we used to go up to London every week, we sometimes treated ourselves to a Caraway Seed Cake from St John's Bakery.  The Bakery made them for the Restaurant, which sold a slice of seed cake with a glass of madeira as a decadent dessert, and sometimes the Bakery had one left over which we could buy.  Feeling a bit low on energy after my jab yesterday, I thought I could manage a bit of baking.  Now, where's the madeira?
