Petersfield Heath is home to a large concentration of Bronze Age barrows, one of the largest burial sites in the south of England. Several of them form an attractive perimeter around the cricket field.
Evidence has been found of burials, but in recent times you are more likely to find people picnicking on them, or more recently sledging down them.
