Hanging On

I parked at B-ville Community Park, crossed the road, and walked a path at SCR I've never been on before.  The bridle path stays closer to the road but a foot path follows the top edge of the ravine above Quarry Rock Falls.

This tattered leaf was the only one left on a tree.  It was hard to catch in the breeze, so not all of it is in focus.  But look!  New buds are forming on the branch above. 

Mr. Chester received a package from his "aunt" BR today who felted him another cute mouse stuffed with catnip (extra).  Oh boy!  Things are rockin' around here!
