Bloom Where You are Planted

Yesterday, I didn't even feel like taking a photo, but this morning, the first tiny Peach Blossom opened up on one of the branches I had bought the day before.

'Bloom where you are planted' is a phrase that I particularly like. I take it to mean: 'do the best you can, exactly where you are, in all circumstances, and without seeking perfection'

This is all we can do in the present circumstances, isn't it?

Our cold snap has started. It's currently -1C (30.2F) and the temperatures will continue to go down on Friday and Saturday accompanied by a strong north-westerly wind.  Things sound a bit better for Sunday when the wind may possibly drop and we'll have some sunshine over the weekend.
