Harassment

Considering their size, Pileated woodpeckers don't tend to be pushy or aggressive birds. At least in our yard they aren't. This male was peacefully dining at the BarkButter feeder when along came a large crow, who immediately began to harass him. The woodpecker continued to eat for minute or so but then got tired of the crow's intimidation and finally flew off. I, of course, wasn't prepared shutter speed-wise for all the ensuing motion, so the shots aren't the sharpest but I enjoyed the 'drama' of it all!
Be well.
