The edge of the ice shelf

Wall to wall sunshine again, sub-zero temperatures again, but today there was also a wind making it even colder. However, in our sheltered corner I was still able to do some gardening. Our pond has quite a thick layer of ice by now, except for the corner where the water flows in and the edge of the ice has formed an interesting curving pattern.
Later in the day, N and I took a short drive to have a look at a local waterfall so that he could check whether it was in good condition for a bit of ice climbing. Apparently, although there is a lot of frozen water (extra), it's not quite good enough yet.
