Summer house

We went to Gait Barrows today for a delightful look around. There has been a lot going on! Some large areas have been fenced to allow cattle to roam freely in the woodlands. The hope is that this will increase the biological diversity without the intensive management previously used.
The old summer house by Haweswater has been renovated. This was always something Rob wanted to do, but never found the funds. Here it is now looking great, and some intention to use it as a viewing point for the lake.
In extras, I have completed the foundation for my new Charley Harper quilt, with birch stems on an autumn background. Now I am going to appliqué it with wacky animals and leaves! It’s loosely inspired by his Isle Royale poster!
