Shadows

I can't believe how cold it was today.  -1C on the thermometer but -10C with the wind chill.  All the poor plants that had healthy Spring shoots last week have had them blasted off.  Each day's ice that I have lifted off the bird bath since last weekend is still piled up on the path.  If global warming means that we lose the gulf stream, this is what winters of the future will be like.
