Are we there yet?

Mid-Morning Colour

The low winter sun and near cloudless sky brought out the colours in our garden so I nipped out the back door to capture it.

The colours and warmth in the image are very deceptive, as a bitterly cold easterly was coursing through the countryside invoking the dreaded wind chill factor. Possibly the coldest day here that I’ve experienced all winter.

Fortunately the forecast is for a slight uplift in temperatures next week which is good timing as I will run out of logs for the fire by Monday morning and there are no logs to be found from local suppliers. Bizarrely the suppliers have sold out.... no doubt another result of the pandemic caused by everyone staying at home all winter with roaring fires.... but good for the wood merchants...
