The Rivals

This is the latest episode in Lakeside, the soap opera. The pure-bred and odd-bird drakes were stepping out on the ice with the mallard duck when Ollie dog and I appeared. All three took off and my image above shows the love rivals. Things are hotting up, it being Valentine's Day tomorrow.

I spent a pleasant time this morning researching and watching videos of The Rivals and Mrs Malaprop in particular.

Ollie and I had a very cold walk at Parndon this afternoon and flushed a snipe, which I identified because of its zig-zagging flight. I took a snipe at it to no avail.
