Decimalisation

Back on duty today, sort of. I didn't rush this morning! 

I didn't have any other photo so I thought I'd join in marking the 50th anniversary of decimalisation. I'm old enough to be pre decimal but not old enough to remember pre decimal! ... apart from playing with all the old coins that is.

I had this presentation wallet, or one like it, from the beginning. Unfortunately mine was lost in a burglary so I bought a second hand one. I felt I should have one as it happened when I was a toddler. 

This is also my collection of old coins. Each half penny here is a different year. The oldest penny I have is 1917 and I find it fascinating that it was in use during WW1.
