Battered

That's 'battered' as in 'knocked about a bit' rather than cooked with a crispy coating. It's clear from a quick clean of the bike that some parts have taken a much more severe battering than others. The pedals and cranks are probably the worst parts. The bar ends are looking pretty sorry for themselves as well. I'm tempted to repaint the pedals when the weather improves a bit.
