The wind speeds have dropped and the sea is playing catchup. I had a blissful walk with the dog this afternoon in weak winter sunshine, along the shore below the house. Something magic about that thin gold light that touches the whites of the waves as they break on the rocks. The dog ignored me most of the time sniffing out rabbit remains and searching for voles.
At lunchtime we attended a zoom webinar called Love your bog, about the importance of peatlands. Amongst other things it reminded me that we should all be buying peat-free products for our gardens.
