Sunrise

The sun is appearing much earlier now and is rising almost above the lighthouse. It felt warm this morning and with no snow around it was safe to walk to the top decking so I sat there and listened to the birds as the sun rose.
The sparrows were delighted that the water Bath was free of ice and had a lovely bath.We treated ourselves to a sparrow bird box that Mike put up this morning, hoping they will choose that instead of in the roof.
Mike went down to the allotment and mended the shed and the compost bin.I stayed at home and hoovered through and dusted.
We had the steak with dauphinoise potatoes from the meal deal for tea and had the cakes from afternoon tea for pudding :)
We watched a few episodes of A Discovery of Witches which we enjoyed :)
