Arboreal Musculature

As I was walking through Tyninghame Woods this morning I became very conscious of the way in which the bright side lighting was emphasising the shapes and contours of the tree trunks such that they began to look like muscly bodies to me. However, it was not so easy to illustrate these contours in two dimensions that of their photographs but this is my attempt
