Best laid plans

Ended up in A&E today, I had fall a couple of weeks ago in the house and landed hard on the lumbar region of my spine. Was pretty sure I’d cracked it at the time but decided not to go to hospital at the time as I figured they couldn’t do anything for it, and painkillers/rest would be advised. It was particularly sore over the weekend so GP advised me to go. Surprise, surprise I was right, yes it’s cracked and the rest/painkillers were duly prescribed. As rubbish as it was, I have to say a huge thanks to our incredible NHS, and the brilliant care I received from the staff. What would we do without them!
