Shades of Gold...

Maisie and I walked with friend Denise and Harry the Spoodle early this morning. There were lots of walkers and their dogs out and about. Our two dogs had an exhausting but wonderful time making new doggie friends and running flat out everywhere. The Taylor River is still dry for long stretches. In this scene the whitish dry stones can be seen in the shingle river bed. There is golden flowering wild fennel in the foreground, feathery Toitoi and a young spiky cabbage tree on the other side of the river bed... The early sun through clouds was casting a golden glow over the vegetation.
