Searching the internet I think this is Ancistrocerus gazella, a species of potter wasps.

This female was one of several enjoying these blooms and the sunshine in my garden this afternoon.



Covid-19 update
At midnight tonight Auckland will move down to Alert Level 2
The remainder of NZ will move down to Alert Level 1
Three new community cases today, from the same family. However, because of the clear epidemiological links between all the cases, and the cases were contained, lessening the risk, the government made the decision it was still safe to adjust the Alert Levels.
Cabinet will review these levels again on Monday.
