This time of year would have been quite the spectacle in the towns, with Mardi Gras, Carnival and leading up to Semana Santa. Fancy dress parties, street celebrations, troubadors in medieval costumes playing traditional instruments while walking through town, food tents with a variety of local and exotic fare. No saint Antoni last month, where local priests bless the animals in a street procession, the only time I've not attended this since I came here, first with just Minnie, then later with Buster and Minnie2. These customs contrasting so starkly with those in the UK are especially appreciated and missed this year.
