Mistletoe

Today I stuck mistletoe seeds all over my apple trees! The plants are either male or female so I hope several seeds will be successful and I will get both.
I tried some seeds last year but as they take a couple of years to become visible plants I don’t know if any succeeded.
The first year they just put down roots into the tree bark, and photosynthesise through the seed capsule. You can see how green this one looks. The following year you may see a tiny pair of leaves, and then very slowly the plant increases in size. It’s a bit of a wait!
