Kinneil Church remains.

There used to be a village here, all that is left is the West wall of the church and a few gravestones. Kinneil village was mentioned by the Venerable Bede in the 8th Centaury. Kirk dates from the mid 12th Century. In the mid 1700s a body of Dragoons were deployed to protect the church, they accidentally set fire to some pews and the building burned to the ground. And you thought muppetry was a recent invention.

The first extra is a pond where trees go to die. Still semi frozen but at least the swans had a bit of free water. The last extra is one of my favourites, taken ages ago but always makes me smile.

Anyway an extremely muddy walk around the estate. Fine sunny day. Nice to get out and about, the forecast does not look great.

The polar vortex in Texas is amazing (not in a good way).
