You’re a bit off-course ol gal

American ornithologists might recognise the female ring-necked duck from the white band on her bill, but the arrival of this rather confused and disconsolate duck on the lake in Alexandra Park, south Manchester, has caused a minor stir as a winter visitor not usually spotted in these parts. I hope all the tufted ducks around her will make her feel welcome.
