No Man's Land

I had a go at getting down to the lake shore, not that there is a definite shoreline at this time. The snow depth made it difficult and I didn't want to ruin an opportunity with my footprints, so I took it slowly.

As it was a nice sunny evening, I risked waiting until sundown in the hope of some nice light, which didn't disappoint. The sky however was rather bland and, although I made a few wider shots, I preferred the closer view. There were some nice textures and shapes.

In this image the foreground light was warm, even a touch magenta, but beyond, the flatter and shadowy parts were overly blue, which looked rather odd. I tried to balance it out somewhat.

Extra: Dipping Down. For the record.
