Sneaky

We took my mum for her vaccination today.  It was quite an event.  She doesn’t get around so well any more so has been house bound for quite a while ( waiting for new hip operation for 14 months now ).  

It was a lovely sunny day so after “The Jab” we took a drive to Deal and she sat in the sun whilst we walked the dog.  She loved it.  The little things.

We have been having problems with our heating and hot water and needed a new thermostat.  We got one of those Nest ones.  It’s pretty good controlling heating from your phone is pretty cool and we have some of the Amazon Alexa things so I may have a bash at linking it with that too. 

One of my good mates owns his own plumbing firm and we were/are in a bubble with them  because they have a son and daughter the same age as my son and daughter and we shared the school run duties when they were going to school.   They/we all grew up together - its really nice.  

Anyway my mate offered to fit the new thermostat for (free) us today and he popped around - we had an appropriately distanced sneaky beer offered as payment in the garden.  It felt normal.  I’d forgotten.
