Posing

Darren didn’t sleep well last night, for various reasons, despite being very tired. Which meant when he did fall asleep he woke up a little later than he normally would. That put him behind on time and meant he didn’t want to walk at reservoir as it would be busy, even at 9 o’clock on a Sunday there can be many people walking round.
So he decided to go to an old stone quarry which over looks 2 reservoirs. We’ve been here many times before and always had a good walk and it’s never been that busy. Obviously as we are still in lockdown people have little to do other than go for walks and Sunday mornings can be a bit of knightmare if you like solitude and a bit of peace. Before we’d even started the walk a man and his dog, which was also a Jack Russell told Darren to be careful with me as there were 2 Alsatian’s not on lead and running freely who had attacked his dog on a previous occasion which required a vets visit and bill. The owners of the Alsatian’s never called there dogs or tried to get them off the jack Russell or even apologised, Darren really can’t stand dog owners like that. Now Darren isn’t one for getting involved in confrontations or complaining but if I was attacked and badly hurt he would go ballistic. The gentleman told us where he’d just seen them and told us to avoid them. We did see them from a distance but they weren’t going in quite the same direction so we never encountered them. But we did encounter lots of other dogs and for Darren it was far too busy and he wasn’t enjoying it, plus far too many dogs were running up to me and getting in my face which Darren never likes. He does find a lot of dog owners are irresponsible and don’t control their dogs, plus so many don’t pick up the poo their dogs do, which is disgusting.
We did go down a quiet lane which was much quieter and took a different path on way back to car which was also better.
This photo was taken about 20 yards from car where Darren managed to find a stone to sit on for ten minutes.
