Another obstacle

Stones are not snow blower's friends. Usually they either break the bolts connecting the feeding spiral to the blower or they make the safety clutch slip, causing a nasty smell and the need to tighten its bolts. This one did both.

That was the "highlight" of the ploughing round today, but it wasn't all pleasure otherwise either, although the weather getting colder after above zero night was helpful. The snow wasn't too wet for the blower, which made it a little easier.

There were tracks of cars that had had problems staying on the road, and one van had struggled getting up a hill with a trailer, but the driver had just unloaded the trailer to the van when I got there. The tight spot yesterday was even tighter. There was another car making it narrower and a few garbage bags leaning against the bin, so certainly not enough room to drive through. Luckily I could drive around it .

Later in the afternoon it started raining, even though the temperature was -5°C! We'll see how it will be tomorrow...
