Grebes

What a fantastic day up at Lake Alexandrina watching the  nesting grebes. main blip has the one still sitting on an egg and the partner with one on the back. At times they nestled in under the back feathers of the swimming grebe it was fascinating
At times the one on the nests would get up and turn the eggs and then shuffle down on top of them again
There is usually only a few grebes at this lake but this year there is masses of them no one can understand it or where they have come from . Have only looked at a few so far as NZ and Aussie are playing a T20 cricket test and it is gripping watching
I will probably find I have some better shots tomorrow but for tonight the cricket wins against blip
