Bald Eagle

Bridgewater Canal

Returning from my run round the playing fields this morning  I saw these two narrowboats moving sedately along the canal.

The one in front delivers consumables to customers along the canal.

The boat in the foreground, Ariel, was part of the Midlands and Coast Canal Carriers fleet which operated between 1921 and 1938 when it went into liquidation.

The current owners bought the boat in 2009 and a couple of years ago they were able to aquire the original company name and rebranded the boat and their business.
